i_am_haley_m CDS does it again!! Superb! Favorite track: Whose Honey are You?.

Burnell Yow Every thing about Christopher’s persona, at least as comes across on his Instagram feed, echoes the era of the type of music he performs, as though he just stepped from a time machine, banjolele in hand, and smiling, ready to serenade and soothe.

My favorite track is “We’ll Meet Again.” Poignant. Leaves one with an ache in the heart - a hopeful ache, but an ache, nonetheless. Favorite track: We'll Meet Again.

We meet at evening time tis sweet at evening time to know I’ll spend an hour or two just with you But when the hour grows late I love to hesitate the moments seem so fleeting While I’m here repeating Stars shining bright above you Night breezes seem to whisper I love you Birds singing in the sycamore tree Dream a little dream of me Say nighty night and kiss me Just hold me tight and tell me you'll miss me While I'm alone and blue as can be Dream a little dream of me Stars fading but I linger on, dear Still craving your kiss I'm longing to linger till dawn, dear Just saying this Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you Sweet dreams that leave all worries behind you But in your dreams whatever they be Dream a little dream of me

Let's say goodbye with a smile, dear, Just for a while, dear we must part. Don't let the parting upset you, I'll not forget you, sweetheart. We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when, But I know we'll meet again, some sunny day. Keep smiling through, just like you always do, Til the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away. So will you please say hello to the folks that I know, Tell them I won't be long. They'll be happy to know that as you saw me go, I was singing this Happy song. We'll meet again, Don't know where, don't know when, But I know we'll meet again, Some sunny day. After the rain comes the rainbow, You'll see the rain go, never fear, We two can wait for tomorrow, Goodbye to sorrow, my dear. We'll meet again, Don't know where, don't know when, But I know we'll meet again, Some sunny day.

Yesterday you came my way, And when you smiled at me, In my heart I felt a thrill you see, That it was love at sight and I was right to love you as I do. Still I never dreamed that you could love me too. Your eyes of blue, your kisses too, I never knew what they could do. I can't believe that you're in love with me. You're telling ev'ry one I know I'm on your mind each place we go They can't believe that you're in love with me. I have always placed you far above me. I just can't imagine that you love me. And after all is said and done, To think that I'm the lucky one. I can't believe that you're in love with me. Skies are gray. I'm blue each day When you are not around. Ev'ry thing goes wrong, my dear I've found But when you're by my side I fill with pride For I'm so proud of you It all seems too good to me to all be true Your eyes of blue, your kisses too, I never knew what they could do.

When you wish upon a star Makes no difference who you are Anything your heart desires Will come to you If your heart is in your dream No request is too extreme When you wish upon a star As dreamers do Fate is kind She brings to those who love The sweet fulfillment of their secret longing Like a bolt out of the blue Fate steps in and sees you through When you wish upon a star Your dreams come true

about

christopher davis-shannon Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Christopher Davis-Shannon's music is the essence of honest simplicity. Steeped strongly in the piedmont and delta fingerstyle blues traditions, his performances bring you back to a time of juke joints and smoky blues clubs of the early 20th century south. A modern vagabond he has toured the country as a performer the past 3 years, performing from Las Vegas to New Orleans. ... more
